Failed on November 4, 2025. Over 78% voting No
The South Carolina Community Alliance, together with the Western Upstate Association of REALTORS®️ supported the Capital Project Sales Tax in Anderson County on the November ballot. Voters overwhelmingly voted against the penny sales tax which would have funded the repair of 200+ miles of road and 17 bridges in every part of Anderson County, 18 critical safety projects to keep children, seniors, and everyone safe on the road. These projects were selected by an independent commission, and their funding will receive strict local and state oversight. The programs are all subjected to regular reporting and auditing requirements, and the tax expires after eight years.
