The housing availability challenges across the United States are magnified in areas like the coast of South Carolina, where there is also population growth. The Coastal Carolinas Association of REALTORS® (CCAR) commissioned Anderson Economic Group (AEG) to conduct a housing needs assessment for Horry and Georgetown Counties in South Carolina. Additionally, CCAR asked AEG to examine the role of county zoning on residential construction and home affordability. This assessment and analysis will report on the impact of zoning changes on housing affordability in Horry and Georgetown counties.
